We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated self-starter to join the Sales Team in a new position as Business Development Manager at Firmdale Hotels’ Head Office in London.

Representing 11 hotels across London and New York, this is a fantastic opportunity to be part of one of the most inspiring, privately owned luxury hotel brands. You will be responsible for building new relationships with local corporate clients around the hotels in London with an emphasis on selling our Restaurants and Bars.

This is a proactive role, identifying new leads from enquiries coming into our restaurants and events team as well as working closely with our existing sales team in growing new accounts for the hotels.

As a Business Development Manager you will be an expert in driving revenue growth, cultivating strong client relationships and implementing effective sales strategies. You will have experience in Business Development for both restaurants and events as well as a good knowledge of the London Hotel and restaurant market. Proactivity will be key, as well as possessing outstanding communication skills and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Responsibilities will include:

Reporting into the Director of Sales and working to create and implement a proactive strategy for new business with a strong emphasis on our restaurant and bars in order to maximise revenue growth
Responsible for idea generation and prospecting new business to grow market share from the local corporate market close to each restaurant and bar
Conduct in-depth analyses of market trends and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities for the restaurant and bars
Collaborate with the operations team and senior management to set sales goals and objectives aligned with the overall business strategy
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners with regular meeting, client entertaining within the spaces and hosting of events when required
Lead negotiations for major contracts and strategic partnerships as and when required
Collaborate closely with the Marketing & PR Team on activations to highlight to our customer base for our restaurants and bars
Monitor customer feedback and spearhead improvements to enhance overall customer satisfaction
Utilise data and analytics to assess sales performance, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions
Prepare regular reports for senior management, highlighting key performance indicators and growth
Work closely with the food and beverage teams and operations teams to ensure seamless alignment between sales initiatives and restaurant capabilities
Stay abreast of industry trends and changes within the London restaurant market, providing valuable insights for strategic decision-making
Conduct thorough market research to identify new opportunities and potential challenges.
Attending and contributing to weekly sales meetings, revenue meetings and meetings with the GMs and teams when required
Contributing to weekly reporting on key activities completed / business developed
Contributing to and implementing key strategic activities for the annual sales plan

Requirements:

Business Development and restaurant / hotel operations experience from within the 5 star luxury market. Preferably already working with the corporate sector with a database of existing contacts
On the pulse with current news and trends
You must be able to work in a fast paced environment, be a self-starter
Professional outlook with an eye for detail
Dependable and adaptable with a positive ‘can do’ attitude and drive.
Proactive with strong organisational and communication skills
Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Opera and Salesforce – ensuring the database is kept up-to-date, and notes made on all client contact, meetings and enquiries
