Here are a few reasons why our recruitment consultants come to work every day.

1. Money

In most jobs, doing well means a salary and maybe a pat on the back from your boss. In this job, success comes on top of your salary and in the shape of a great commission scheme and top incentives. Anyone fancy a trip to Dubai?

2. Work hard, play hard

Sorry, but no one gets paid to party. But if you work hard, you can play hard! We reward consultants hitting targets with extra cash, incentives and prizes. But a massive selling point of BCUK is that we have a great team and great social atmosphere. It’s great to support each other by day and celebrate together by night!

3. No two days are the same

You will never be bored in recruitment. Monday you will be at an event hobnobbing with clients, Tuesday you’ll be closing deals on the phone, Wednesday you’ll be interviewing candidates. Every day brings its own triumphs and its own challenges. If you’re looking for a tedious desk job, this isn’t the one for you!

4. Changing someone’s life

You’ll never forget the first time you place someone in a job. Whether they’re looking to improve progression, salary or location, you could be helping your candidate with more money for the baby on the way, or making that daily commute a little easier, or an exciting move to a new city; you really are helping change someone’s life.

5. In the know

As the direct point of contact for your candidates and clients, your role is so much more than matching candidates and clients. You become the advisor and the expert. If someone wants to know the market trends, the next big event, the must have info: you’re the person to speak to.

Building Careers UK was founded in 2007 by two highly ambitious and driven recruitment professionals. After a successful first year trading the global recession hit during 2008 with construction being the worst affected industry. Although providing a recruitment service whilst companies were making mass redundancies was highly challenging, the key to our sustained growth and profitability was innovative ideas and sheer hard work.
