Commercial Finance Manager

As a Commercial Finance Manager in London, you'll play a key role in the healthcare industry by driving financial insights and supporting strategic decision–making. This role focuses on managing budgets, forecasts, and performance analysis to keep the business running smoothly and efficiently.

Client Details

The client is a well–established, PE–backed healthcare services group operating across the UK. The business partners with public–sector healthcare organisations to provide additional clinical capacity and outsourced care, helping to address waiting lists and improve patient access.

Description

• Provide commercial finance support to senior leaders, helping translate financial data into clear business insights and actions.
• Take ownership of monthly management reporting, with a focus on performance, profitability, operational KPIs and key business drivers.
• Work closely with budget holders to understand performance against plan, challenge assumptions and identify areas for improvement.
• Build and maintain financial models and analysis to support pricing, tenders, investment decisions and wider strategic initiatives.
• Play a key role in the annual budget and forecasting cycle, ensuring financial plans reflect the underlying operational strategy.
• Evaluate the financial performance of contracts and business areas, identifying opportunities to improve margin, efficiency and cash generation.
• Support senior management and shareholders with ad hoc analysis, scenario modelling and value creation projects.
• Assist with due diligence, transaction preparation and other PE–related initiatives as required.

Profile

A successful Commercial Finance Manager should have:

• Qualified accountant or QBE with experience across commercial finance, FP&A or business partnering.
• Strong analytical and modelling skills, with the ability to turn financial data into clear commercial insight.
• Confident partnering with senior stakeholders, challenging assumptions and influencing decisions.
• Solid experience across budgeting, forecasting, reporting and profitability analysis.
• Commercially astute, with an understanding of contracts, pricing, margins and operational performance.
• Experience in healthcare, multi–site or PE–backed businesses would be advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills with a proactive, hands–on approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.

Job Offer

• Competitive salary ranging from GBP70,000 to GBP80,000, dependent on the level of experience.
