Job Title: Project Coordinator (HVAC package)
Location: Zuid-Holland, Netherlands (Rotterdam-Den Haag metropolitan area)
Normal Working Schedule: 32-40 hours per week (8 hours per day, 4 or 5 days per week – ideally 5 days per week).
Project: Large-scale and highly confidential project relating to construction of Buildings where the package you will coordinate relating to HVAC installations.
Start Date: ASAP

About the Client:
Our client is a large engineering company who are operating as the main contractor for their client working on a highly confidential and secure project for construction of buildings.
Role Overview:
We are urgently seeking a Project Coordinator with experience working on large-scale projects relating to new buildings and experienced coordinating HVAC installations on these projects to join the project and coordinate between the project manager, HVAC site supervisor (uitvoerder), project planner, werkvoorbereider, subcontractors, logistics team, execution head etc.. to ensure a good and smooth running of the project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Join the project as a project coordinator to coordinate between all stakeholders (same level as the site supervisor) in relation to the HVAC installation on a large scale, highly confidential, building construction project.
- Coordinate between all stakeholders to provide full information, updates, offering suggestions etc.. coordinating between the site supervisor (uitvoerder), work preparator (werkvoorbereider), project manager, project director, subcontractors working on the HVAC installations, execution team (head executor working for the EPC), project planners etc..
- Be a presence onsite and support all aspects of the HVAC installation package on the project.
- Checking and viewing the HVAC installation works onsite together with the site supervisor/manager, ensuring all HVAC installation is done according to design, client specifications, in-line with safety, quality etc.. reporting back to coordinate effectively.
- Providing regular progress updates to all stakeholders. Being pro-active to coordinate with everyone necessary and gather full information, coordinating necessary changes based on these updates.
- Coordinate and ensure the right people/workers are onsite at the right time, ensuring the materials, permits etc.. needed are ready/onsite at the right time, adapting to changes in progress for the HVAC installations as well as any changes to the schedule as a result of other packages which leads to a change in design/plan/timeline in the plan for the HVAC installations and ensuring all relevant stakeholders are informed and planning is in place accordingly for the HVAC installations.
- Acting as the “glue” between all the stakeholders involved in HVAC installations (and other packages effected by the HVAC installation works).
- The position is a coordination role first and foremost, working at the same level as the site supervisor and working very closely with them as well as the other stakeholders such as the project manager and project planner (no people management, purely a coordination position).
- Utilise your knowledge of HVAC installations on large scale building construction projects to offer suggestions and know what is necessary for smooth HVAC installation on the project, knowing who to speak with for changes and supporting the site supervisor, planners, project managers etc.. to adapt schedules, work plans, material/logistic plans etc.. mainly acting as the coordinator between the supervisor and the project manager, as well as the supervisor and the subcontractors/execution team. But also working closely with the project planner/logistics planner to ensure they have full information and all plans, logistics, people/resources are coordinated for a smooth project. Helping all stakeholders where needed.
- Be a good communicator and “people person” as well as using knowledge of HVAC installations to know what is necessary, offering your suggestions etc.. but changes to plans/schedules will be done by the supervisor and planner – your position will be to coordinate everything accordingly and ensure full information is provided to all stakeholders involved in the HVAC installation package.
- Execution work is due to begin in September/October this year, with the project running until at least the end of 2027. Starting ASAP (given project nature, the client will do an veiligheidsonderzoek A (A-screening) for security clearance for site if you don’t have one already) and require a VCA for site entry. Start times are flexible between 06:30AM and latest start time of 08:00AM onsite (this role is ideally 5 days per week, but my client can also offer 4 days per week if required) and each day is 8 hours per day with 30 minutes break for lunch/personal time.
Candidate Requirements:
- Experience as a Project Coordinator for large scale building construction projects.
- Experience working on HVAC installation packages of projects.
- Dutch speaking.
