We are currently recruiting a Social Work Assistant to join a busy Social Work Team based in Antrim and Ballymena , working through the Northern Trust.
This is a full-time position , working Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm , with a preferred start date in June 2026 . The role is temporary ongoing , with a minimum duration of 3 months (with potential for extension).
This position is well suited to candidates who are currently studying social work or who have a strong interest in pursuing a career in social care.
Role Details
- Hourly rate: £14.06 per hour
- Overtime rates available
- Weekly mileage payments provided
- Travel required as part of the role
Essential Requirements
- NISCC registration
- Full UK driving licence with business insurance
- Access to a car (travel is essential for this role)
Desirable Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 months’ experience in a relevant setting, such as:
- Schools
- Childcare settings
- Youth work
- Care assistant roles
- Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in a care-related subject
An Enhanced Access NI Check will be completed prior to the start date.
