About the role This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and highly motivated person to become part of Sunderland’s well regarded Early Years team. You will be an excellent classroom practitioner with experience of supporting pupils within a mainstream setting, using strong observation and communication skills to help children access effective support. Working as part of an experienced and dedicated team within a progressively forward-thinking service, you will carry out detailed observations of pupils and work closely with school staff to help ensure pupils receive support that meets their needs. You will also deliver direct 1:1 and small group work in a mainstream primary environment, providing targeted interventions that make a positive difference to children’s learning and development. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and therefore will be subject to an Enhanced DBS check from the Disclosure and Barring Service. “Due to recent changes in UKVI rules, this role does not meet the criteria for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship under the updated eligibility requirements effective 22 July 2025.” We want you to apply if you:
