We're looking for a Local Government Reorganisation Project Manager for a public sector organisation based in Suffolk (hybrid) on an initial fixed-term contract, paying up to £47,181 per annum.
This is a hybrid role with remote working available and some attendance in Suffolk, including occasional evening meetings. The successful Local Government Reorganisation Project Manager will lead and deliver complex projects within a dedicated Programme Management Office, spanning the LGR programme and a wider corporate transformation portfolio. You'll manage projects from initiation through to implementation, ensuring effective governance, stakeholder engagement and delivery against agreed outcomes. Working closely with senior managers, programme leads and elected members, you'll drive delivery at pace across multiple services and partner organisations. You will need proven experience in the following: Delivering complex projects within local government, the wider public sector or similarly complex organisationsProject management methodologies and governance frameworks
Coordinating multiple stakeholders with differing priorities
Managing project risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies
Producing high-quality reporting and presenting to senior leadership teams and boards
Managing project budgets, performance and resource requirements
Supporting organisational change and transformation programmes
Strong organisational and planning skills, managing competing priorities You'll also need to work confidently in a corporate and political environment, building credibility quickly and using sound judgement to challenge and support effective decision-making. A degree or NVQ Level 6 in a managerial, professional or technical field with at least three years' relevant experience is expected, along with evidence of continued professional development. PRINCE2 or similar project management certification is highly desirable, as is membership of an appropriate professional body. Interested? Please apply below.
