At M Group Energy , we’re enabling the energy essential to support our lives. We provide an end-to-end service, delivering solutions in electricity transmission, distribution, renewable energy, EV, metering and home decarbonisation.
This role will be within our Callisto team , the leading provider of metering services in the UK energy retail sector. We provide efficient and flexible services for electricity, gas and water metering, supporting suppliers and customers through accurate data, industry expertise and innovative solutions. Our team plays a critical role in helping customers meet their settlement obligations, improve data quality and navigate an ever-evolving energy market.

What will you be doing?
As a Settlement Data Analyst , you'll use data, industry knowledge and analytical expertise to help drive settlement performance and support customers with complex data challenges.
You'll work closely with internal teams and external customers to develop reports, analyse performance, identify trends and provide actionable insights that help improve operational effectiveness and industry compliance. This is a hybrid role, with an expectation to work 2-3 days per week from either our Newcastle or Nottingham office , unless travelling to customer sites. Travel to customer offices is expected a couple of times per month.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and producing reports, data extracts and business analysis to support settlement performance.
- Using data and process knowledge to identify trends, opportunities and areas for improvement.
- Producing findings and presenting insights to internal and external stakeholders.
- Supporting customers with settlement challenges and data alignment requirements.
- Working closely with stakeholders to develop data-driven solutions.
- Supporting Callisto services including NHHDC/DA, Market Wide Half Hourly and future product developments.
- Attending customer and industry meetings, providing meaningful contributions and recommendations.
- Ensuring best practice is followed and data is analysed accurately to support informed decision-making.
What you’ll bring
- Previous experience within the UK energy industry, ideally within settlement, metering data or related operational activities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience producing reports, analysing large data sets and identifying actionable insights.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to present technical information clearly to a range of audiences.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to manage priorities effectively and work both independently and collaboratively.
Desirable but not deal breakers
- Understanding of NHHDC/DA processes.
- Knowledge of Market Wide Half Hourly settlement.
- Experience supporting energy suppliers, metering service providers or settlement services.
- Experience with reporting and analytical tools.
- Knowledge of industry settlement regulations and performance metrics.
