Cover Supervisor
Location: Newbury Contract: Full-time, Permanent Salary: £30,024 - £32,061 per annum (pro rata approx. £25,892 - £27,649)
About the Role
We are seeking a confident and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join a committed and supportive school team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone considering a career in teaching or an experienced professional looking to make a positive impact in education.
You will supervise whole classes during teacher absence, ensuring students remain engaged with pre-set learning while maintaining a positive and productive classroom environment. tes
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise lessons using pre-prepared materials
- Manage student behaviour and maintain a focused learning environment
- Ensure completion of work set and monitor student progress
- Support marking of work where required
- Assist with administrative and operational tasks across the school
- Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents/carers
- Contribute to wider school life, including duties such as reception or lunchtime supervision
