CFHD are looking to recruit four 1.0wte Speech and Language Therapists to provide specialist Speech and Language Therapy support within the Experts at Hand service through advice, consultation, modelling of strategies, training, and targeted intervention. The base locations for these will be in Exeter, North or South Devon. The post-holder will work as part of the multidisciplinary team and autonomously to support children and young people, families, and professionals by building capacity within early years, school and post-16 settings, delivering training, and offering time-limited direct interventions where indicated. The speech and language therapy service within CFHD have transformed to work within the Balanced System framework. The Speech, Language and Communication pathway consists of Speech and Language Therapists and Therapy Assistants working across Devon and Torbay. The aim of the team is to ensure that specialist support is easily accessible within the community settings, providing both direct support to children, young people and families, and to the wider community teams. Everyone in the team is provided with regular supervision, opportunities for training and development. About us
