Relief Support Worker
Salary: £12.74 - £12.95 per hour, depending on qualifications(regular sleep in duties required, paid at an additional £64.95 per night) Hours: As and when required (evenings and weekends) Location: Chevington, Suffolk Why Break? About the Role: As a Break Relief Support Worker you’ll be working hands-on day in day out with the young people living in the children’s home. You’ll work with a tight-knit team of colleagues to build a relationship and trust bond with the young people living at the home. You’ll be a positive role model, supporting them in overcoming their previous trauma and learning to trust in adults again, along with the help and guidance of your colleagues and Break’s therapeutic services. You will encourage new experiences, supporting the young people to develop their own identity. You’ll be patient, thrive in a team environment, able to support those around you and have the emotional intelligence and resilience to manage challenging situations. To be successful in the role you’ll be a good team player, and a problem solver. You will need to successfully complete a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare within 24 months of Support Work. This will be fully funded by Break, and you will be supported by our training team. Please note that you must have a full, clean, UK driving licence.
