Forklift Driver - 4 Day Week

Are you a skilled Forklift Driver looking for a fantastic opportunity to balance your work and personal life? We are currently recruiting for dedicated professionals to join the team at Caterpillar's premier facility in Larne. Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Operating a forklift truck and other relevant equipment for onsite component/equipment movements. Loading boxes, crates, skids, frames etc. for waste disposal.
• Complete necessary paperwork relating to component equipment movements.
• Inspects, maintains and operates machinery within relevant company guidelines.
• Compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Compliance with 5S programme and other business improvement initiatives.
• Display behaviour and conduct fitting with our Values in Action.
• Train other employees if and when required.
• Any other appropriate duties.
  

Hours of work and salary:

• Day Shift - £14.27/hr.
• Night Shift - £19.03/hr.
• Overtime - £21.41/hr (First ten hours)
• Overtime - £28.54/hr. (After ten hours overtime)
• 37.5 hours per week. (Mon - Thurs)

Required Qualifications:

• Forklift license and previous relevant experience
• The ability to follow and comprehend verbal, specific and detailed procedures and work instructions as well as basic arithmetic calculations in order to perform the duties described above.
• Good communication skills, experience working in a team environment
• Ability to work reasonable amounts of overtime and various shift patterns

Desired Qualifications:

• Reasonable level of computer literacy
• Previous experience working in a lean environment.
• Ability to prioritise and organise sequence of work on occasion.
