This is an exciting opportunity for those with an interest in Early Years to learn on the job supporting in our Nursery and Reception classes. As part of our founding team, you will help ensure that every child receives the very best start to their learning journey.
- Wage
£13,416 for your first year, then could increase depending on your age
National Minimum Wage rate for apprentices
The Actual Salary is £11, 593 p.a. for the first year. The role is term time 38 working weeks plus 3 inset days.
The hourly rate will increase after 12 months to the age appropriate apprentice rate.

Work
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

- Supporting children's learning and development in a nursery setting
- Engaging children in fun and educational activities
- Ensuring a safe and stimulating environment
- Assisting with daily routines such as meals, learning activities, and outdoor play
- Observing and recording children's progress
- Working closely with a team of experienced childcare professionals

- Support the well-being and mental health of learners.
- Observe, record, and report on learners in line with organisational procedures.
- Apply methods of formative assessment.
- Use up to date technology safely, to support learning.
- Encourage safe use of technology by learners.
- Adapt teaching strategies to support all learners (for example, scaffolding, open questioning).
- Identify and respond to pastoral and academic behaviours in learners.
- Provide feedback to learners.

Training schedule
The exact training plan is yet to be finalised; however, it is anticipated that training will take place at work with support on-site from the training provider.
Requirements
Essential qualifications
GCSE in:
- English (grade Pass (4-9 or A-C))
- Maths (grade Pass (4-9 or A-C))
Share if you have other relevant qualifications and industry experience. The apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know.
