Civils Project Manager
£70k per annumFull-time
A well-established civil engineering contractor is looking to appoint a Project Manager to join their team in the Central Belt, working across a strong pipeline of Water projects throughout the Central Belt and surrounding regions.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Project Manager who is looking to take the next step in their career, with the opportunity to take ownership of multiple projects from pre-construction through to successful delivery and handover.
The Role
The role will be predominantly office-based, with frequent visits to site. Projects are generally located across the Central Belt extending towards the Scottish Borders, with the role allowing you to be home every night.
You will typically oversee 2-3 projects simultaneously, with values of up to approximately £1m+.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing projects from design and pre-construction through to delivery and handover
- Taking overall responsibility for programme, commercial performance, quality and delivery
- Managing multiple projects concurrently
- Coordinating with clients, designers, subcontractors and internal teams
- Managing programmes, resources and delivery requirements
- Monitoring project performance and ensuring works are delivered safely and efficiently
- Attending sites as required to oversee progress and address project requirements
- Maintaining strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle
- Ensuring projects are completed to the required standards, timescales and budgets
About You
The company is looking for a proactive and commercially aware Project Manager with previous experience delivering civil engineering projects, ideally within the Water environment.
The key requirement is someone with solid project delivery experience who is ambitious, capable and keen to progress their career.
Ideally, you will have:
- Previous Project Management experience within civil engineering
- Experience working within the Water industry
- A good understanding of project delivery from pre-construction through to completion
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong communication and client management skills
- Good commercial and contractual awareness
- The ability to manage programmes, resources and project teams effectively
- A proactive approach with the ambition to progress within the business
Package
- Up to £70k, plus company vehicle and package - dependent on experience
