Working closely with the Premises Manager and School Business Manager, you will play a vital role in the day-to-day operation of the school site, ensuring that buildings, grounds and facilities are maintained to a high standard. This varied role would suit someone who enjoys practical work, problem-solving and contributing to the smooth running of a busy school.

Responsibilities

• Opening and securing the school site.

• Carrying out routine maintenance and minor repairs.

• Completing daily health and safety inspections.

• Monitoring contractors working on site.

• Preparing classrooms and halls for school events.

• Maintaining heating, lighting and security systems.

• Responding to maintenance requests promptly.

• Maintaining external grounds and pathways.

• Monitoring fire safety equipment.

• Supporting emergency evacuation procedures.

• Assisting with deliveries and furniture movement.

• Maintaining maintenance records.

• Ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation.

• Reporting larger repairs to the Premises Manager.

• Supporting planned maintenance projects.

Requirements
