Role Description

Join our Data Rights team and play a key role in delivering excellent customer service while ensuring compliance with UK GDPR and customer rights requirements. This is an exciting 12-month fixed-term opportunity to develop your regulatory knowledge, build strong stakeholder relationships, and become a subject matter expert within a supportive and collaborative team.

Location: This role is be based in one of our UK Based offices (Guildford, Bristol, Bournemouth or Datchet), please note that this is a hybrid working role with the expectation that attend the office between 2-16 days per month.

Salary Information

Pay: £26,000 – £28,000 per year.

Pay is based on experience, skills and location and forms part of our total rewards package.

About You

You will be responsible for supporting the delivery of Data Rights processes and ensuring customer requests are handled accurately, efficiently and within regulatory timescales. In this role, you will:

• Handle and coordinate Data Rights requests, primarily Subject Access Requests (SARs).
• Identify and interpret customer requirements and help resolve underlying issues for data subjects.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, stakeholders, suppliers and external partners to deliver positive outcomes.
• Take ownership of your workload, prioritising requests effectively to meet regulatory and internal deadlines.
• React positively to changing priorities while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and customer service.
• Provide technical guidance and support to colleagues as a subject matter expert where required.
• Develop and maintain knowledge of GDPR, Customer Rights and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations, internal policies, procedures and personal obligations.
• Support continuous improvement across Data Rights processes and customer outcomes.

Essential Skills

• Good understanding of data protection principles and GDPR requirements.
• Ability to work within regulated processes and strict timescales.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage bespoke and complex requests.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a varied workload.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Word, with a working knowledge of Excel.
• Experience working in a customer-focused or regulatory environment.
• Ability to demonstrate accuracy, attention to detail and sound decision-making.

Desirable Skills

• Experience handling Subject Access Requests (SARs) or other Data Rights requests.
• Knowledge of insurance products and services.
• Experience using OneTrust or similar privacy management systems.
• Understanding of customer rights frameworks and regulatory obligations.
• Experience supporting process improvement initiatives.
• Responsible Artificial Intelligence usage.
