You'll also create exciting opportunities for vocational learning, helping pupils discover new interests, develop valuable workplace skills and broaden their aspirations for the future.
Working collaboratively with colleagues, therapists and families, you'll tailor learning to meet individual needs, celebrate every achievement and ensure every pupil feels supported, challenged and empowered to reach their full potential. Every lesson you deliver will help shape brighter futures and show young people what's possible.
What You'll Be Doing
Deliver engaging IT and Computer Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, linked to the National Curriculum.
Develop pupils' core digital skills, preparing them for further education, employment and independent living.
Plan and deliver personalised learning experiences that meet a wide range of SEND and SEMH needs.
Act as a Form Tutor, supporting pupils' academic progress, wellbeing and personal development.
Work collaboratively with the therapy team to create a curriculum that reflects pupils' individual needs.
Monitor progress and use assessment data to implement effective interventions and improve outcomes.
Support pupils to develop confidence, independence and positive learning behaviours.
Contribute to the ongoing development of SEND provision and inclusive practice across the school.
Build strong partnerships with parents, carers and external agencies to ensure joined-up support.
Contribute to wider school development and innovation, embracing emerging technologies to enhance learning.
About You
We're looking for someone who is:
Passionate about IT, Computer Science and the power of education to change lives.
An excellent classroom practitioner with the ability to engage and inspire learners.
Experienced in supporting pupils with SEND and SEMH needs, or eager to develop within specialist education.
Creative and adaptable, able to tailor learning to individual strengths and barriers.
Skilled in behaviour management and building positive, restorative relationships.
Confident using assessment information to monitor progress and drive improvement.
An effective communicator who works collaboratively with colleagues, families and professionals.
