Hours: Part-time (rota basis across two sites)
Pay Rate: £13.21 per hour
About the Role
We are currently recruiting on behalf of Libraries NI for a reliable and motivated Cleaner to support operations across Brownlow and Portadown Libraries .
This is a part-time opportunity working across two busy library locations, ensuring a clean, safe and welcoming environment for staff and visitors.
Working Pattern
This role operates across a two-week rota at both locations:
Brownlow Library
Week 1
- Monday: 1:00pm – 3:30pm
- Tuesday: 1:00pm – 3:30pm
- Wednesday: 1:00pm – 3:30pm
- Friday: 1:00pm – 3:30pm
Week 2
- Monday: 1:00pm – 3:30pm
- Tuesday: 1:00pm – 3:30pm
- Wednesday: 1:00pm – 3:30pm
- Friday: 1:00pm – 3:30pm
Portadown Library
Week 1
- Monday: 8:45am – 12:15pm
- Tuesday: 9:15am – 11:45am
- Wednesday: 9:15am – 11:45am
- Thursday: 9:15am – 11:15am
- Friday: 9:15am – 11:15am
Week 2
- Tuesday: 9:15am – 11:45am
- Wednesday: 9:15am – 11:15am
- Thursday: 9:15am – 11:15am
- Friday: 9:15am – 11:15am
- Saturday: 9:15am – 1:15pm
Flexibility is required as working patterns may be subject to change.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out cleaning duties across designated areas of both libraries
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
- Ensure all public and staff areas are safe and presentable
- Work effectively as part of a team
- Follow all health and safety procedures
Essential Criteria
- Previous cleaning experience (outside of a home environment)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good attention to detail
- Willingness to undertake any required training
Additional Information
- Basic Access NI clearance required
- No equipment required to be supplied by the worker
- Travel between both library locations is required
£13.62 - £14.28 per hour
