Box To Box Films is looking for an Italian speaking Assistant Producer or experienced Researcher to join a brand-new docuseries for a leading streamer service.The contract will runs from ASAP to Christmas 2026, possibly longer.We're looking for a candidate with strong documentary instincts who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative atmosphere. A passion or interest in sport is a must, as is fluency in the Italian language. Ideally you'll have experience sourcing, logging and clearing archive (both personal and from libraries). The candidate must be proactive, calm under pressure, and adept at balancing the practical demands of production with a sharp understanding of character, story and long-form narrative.Key Responsibilities:
Content Development & Research:.
- Archive Research & Fact-Checking: Conduct archive research, and verify information
accuracy, providing essential support for both development, production and post-
production phases.
- Story Outline Support: Contribute to the shaping of narratives, identifying potential story
arcs, conflicts, and themes, and assist in creating briefs for talent and contributors.Editorial Collaboration:
- Continuity Support: Work closely with editors and producers to track narrative continuity,
ensuring storylines and themes align across episodes and scenes.
- Shot and Scene Review: Participate in viewings to ensure footage aligns with story
objectives, making note of potential reshoots or editing needs.
- Feedback Integration: Actively incorporate feedback from senior producers, providing
solutions or adjustments to improve the quality of the production.Skills and Qualifications:
- Italian language fluency
- Industry Knowledge: Background in unscripted TV production with a solid understanding of
editorial and production processes.
- Research & Detail-Oriented: Strong research skills, with an eye for story, detail and accuracy,
especially when handling sensitive content (including archive).
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills for collaborating with the editorial and archive teams.
- Adaptability & Problem-Solving: Ability to pivot quickly and respond to the fast-paced
needs of unscripted production, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with edit and production software, scheduling tools, and basic
budgeting principles.Reporting Structure:
Reports to the Series Producer, Director and Archive Producer, collaborating with production and editorial teams to
ensure cohesive storytelling and smooth project progression.Our Commitment:
