A globally recognised manufacturer of high-performance gear solutions, supplying critical industries across the world. Due to continued growth and investment, we are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join the team at our Rochdale facility.

This is a varied role offering a genuine 50/50 split between hands-on manufacturing engineering and higher-level process improvement activities . You'll be heavily involved in CNC programming, machining processes and shop-floor support, whilst also driving continuous improvement projects, process optimisation and long-term manufacturing changes across the business.

Manufacturing Engineer Requirements:

* Previous experience in a Manufacturing Engineer position is essential
* Strong background within precision engineering and/or heavy engineering
* Experience with CNC machining processes including milling and turning
* Grinding process knowledge would be highly advantageous
* CNC programming and routing experience
* Ability to create and modify manufacturing documentation and processes
* Experience using 3D CAD software
* Strong understanding of machining methods, tooling and manufacturing best practices
* Able to communicate effectively with both shop-floor teams and senior stakeholders
* Hands-on approach combined with strong problem-solving skills

Manufacturing Engineer Responsibilities:

* Create and optimise CNC programs for milling, turning and grinding operations
* Develop and maintain manufacturing routings and process documentation
* Provide day-to-day engineering support to production teams
* Investigate manufacturing issues and implement corrective actions
* Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality and productivity
* Lead and support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives
* Drive long-term manufacturing and process improvement projects
* Work closely with production, quality and design teams to improve manufacturability
* Support tooling, fixturing and process development activities
* Analyse manufacturing performance data and implement improvement plans
