- Provide management support on projects across the business, in the design and optioneering phases, to develop initial client concept designs or requirements into workable solutions.
- Liaise with internal and external clients to identify their exact requirements.
- Attend site-based surveys to understand the needs of a given project, including meeting client representatives as well as gathering information and data to inform the optimum design solution.
- Prepare Civil / Structural design calculations as applicable.
- Carry out Civil / Structural surveys to identify and advise on any potential issues.
- Work with minimal supervision, you will be able to manage your own projects from design through to completion.
- Supervise the production of design drawings by the CAD / BIM team in line with the project programme.
- Have strong communication skills and be personable to complement the friendly working environment.
- Deliver technical quality and excellence of project deliverables.
- Adhere to CDM Regulations 2015, including carrying out Design Risk Assessments.
- Attend and support our site teams during the Construction Phase, with TQs, advice and problem solving. To be considered for this position you will have at least 3-5 years previous design experience, ideally within a civil engineering or construction environment. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of structural theory with proven problem solving ability as well as good all-round technical design expertise using British and/or Eurocodes. An Accredited degree in Civil Engineering or similar would be beneficial for this role.
