School Support Assistant - Primary School (Supply Basis)

NextGen Teachers are currently recruiting for a compassionate and enthusiastic School Support Assistant to work within a welcoming primary school in the Rothwell (LS26) area of Leeds.

This is a supply-based role, offering a mixture of:
- Full-day Teaching Assistant support
- After-school club support work
- Additional needs support across the primary age range

The successful candidate will work closely with pupils who may require additional learning or emotional support, helping to create a positive, inclusive, and engaging school environment.
- Supporting children within the classroom on a 1:1 and small group basis
- Assisting pupils with additional needs
- Supporting class teachers with learning activities
- Supervising and engaging pupils during after-school club sessions
- Encouraging positive behaviour and social development
- Helping to create a safe and supportive learning environment
- Previous experience working with children or young people
- A patient, caring, and adaptable approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
- First Aid Trained
- Experience supporting children with additional needs (SEN/SEND)
- Background in schools, childcare, youth work, or support work
- Flexible supply work to suit your availability
- Supportive and experienced education consultants
- Ongoing support throughout your placement
