Business & Economics Teacher - Cambridge - Ofsted Good

We are seeking a Teacher of Business & Economics for an 11–18 mixed secondary school in Cambridge rated Ofsted Good , starting January 2026 . This is a permanent position, with both full-time and part-time applications welcomed. A TLR may be available for KS4/KS5 or subject leadership for the right candidate.

About the School

Located in the Cambridge area, the school serves a diverse community and has a growing Sixth Form. It is known for its inclusive ethos, supportive staff culture, and commitment to continuous improvement. The Business department is developing rapidly, with increasing numbers at GCSE and post-16, and strong backing from senior leadership to innovate and expand the curriculum.

The Role

Position: Teacher of Business & Economics
Location: Cambridge
Start Date: January 2026
Contract: Permanent – Full-Time or Part-Time Considered
TLR: Available for Subject / KS5 Leadership (for the right candidate)

As our Business & Economics Teacher, you will:

• Teach Business at KS4 and Business and/or Economics at KS5 .
• Plan high-quality lessons that integrate theory, real case studies and current affairs.
• Use assessment effectively to track progress and plan intervention.
• Support students in developing strong exam technique and independent learning skills.
• Contribute to enrichment, such as enterprise initiatives, trips or speaker events.
• (If applicable) Lead development of the KS5 curriculum or schemes of work.

• Hold QTS and have experience teaching Business and/or Economics.
• Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for their discipline.
• Are reflective, collaborative and committed to raising achievement.
• Communicate effectively with students, families and colleagues.
• Are interested in taking on additional responsibility if securing a TLR.
