Apprentice Electrical Technician Our expanding business is currently offering numerous exciting opportunities for prospective employees. Job Description We are currently seeking hardworking, resourceful candidates to join our dynamic team at our Head office in Sandhurst as an Electrical Apprentice. The course on offer is City and Guilds Electrotechnical apprenticeship qualification (5357-03/23) that is being carried out at various Colleges from September 2026 as a day release. For more information on this course see: Responsibilities will include:
- Design, develop, install and maintain electrical control systems and components to specification
- Reading design specifications and technical drawings
- Aiding in the production of detailed functional design specifications (FDS), method statements and risk assessments (RAMS).
- Chance to learn the production of PLC software
- Chance to learn the production of HMI / SCADA software
- Site installation and commissioning
- Customer facing position
- Previous experience in a service & support, electrical installation or maintenance role or a strong interest in a career in electrical engineering.
- Electrical design including EPlan or equivalent would be advantageous.
- Control panel design, manufacture or electrical installation skills.
- Experience of equipment installation and commissioning.
- Must have the rights to work in the UK
- Day release to college on City and Guilds Electrotech qualification (5357) apprenticeship, includes AM2 and 18th Edition
- JIB issued ECS card (Apprentice card while training, Gold card upon completion)
