Qualitative Mass Spectrometry Specialist

Eurofins seeks an Analytical Scientist to perform structural elucidation and impurity characterization of small molecule active pharmaceutical ingredients using advanced mass spectrometry techniques. The role supports regulatory submissions, process understanding, and cross-functional collaboration in a pharmaceutical research environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural elucidation and impurity characterization of small molecule APIs for regulatory support
• Apply advanced mass spectrometry techniques to investigate low-level impurities and complex molecules
• Develop and expand mass spectrometry capabilities to maintain laboratory innovation leadership
• Collaborate with project analysts and cross-functional teams providing technical expertise and support
• Ensure compliance with Safety, Health & Environment requirements and regulatory guidelines

Requirements

• PhD in Mass Spectrometry or related discipline, or BSc Chemistry with mass spectrometry experience
• Thorough understanding of mass spectrometry instrumentation and techniques in regulated settings
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to interpret complex scientific data
• Proactive, innovative approach with confidence to challenge conventional thinking
• Proven multidisciplinary collaboration experience with excellent written and verbal communication
• Self-motivated and organized with understanding of cGMP and GLP principles
