Here at XPO, we take our people seriously. We’re looking for a talented Transport Coordinator to join us on a full-time, permanent basis at our Tamworth site. Working Monday to Friday, although some flexibility is required to cover holidays.

Pay, benefits and more:

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £28,500. We offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. You’ll have access to a variety of high street discounts, cycle to work scheme, a workplace pension and many other perks.

What you’ll do on a typical day

• • Deal with customer delivery queries as they arise
  • Answer phone calls and emails in a timely manner
  • Provide ad-hoc costs to customers for same days / one off shipments
  • Complete KPI’s Weekly and Monthly
  • Use SHARP to gather accurate delivery information
  • Keep accurate logs of subcontractor and ad-hoc activity.
  • Maintain and work through POD backlogs where applicable
  • Keep the POD log up to date and chase outstanding PODs
  • Issue start and end of day reports to customers
  • Carry out general office administration including filing, scanning, and document control

What you need to succeed at XPO

• • Experience in a transport, logistics, customer services or distribution office environment (preferred but not essential)
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Confident using transport systems and Microsoft Office (training provided where needed)
  • Good communication skills with drivers, subcontractors, customers, and internal teams
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn wider transport and supervisory duties
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet daily deadlines
