Harrogate | £36,000 - £38,000, hybrid work pattern in place
Robert Half Finance & Accounting are delighted to be recruiting for a Bookkeeper on behalf of a growing and well-established business based in Harrogate.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Bookkeeper who enjoys working in a varied, hands on role and taking ownership of the day today finance function. You'll be joining a friendly and supportive team, with the opportunity to make a real impact on the business.
Responsibilities:
- Managing purchase and sales ledger activities
- Processing invoices, payments and receipts
- Bank reconciliations and cash management
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns
- Credit control and supplier statement reconciliations
- Processing employee expenses
- Assisting with month-end reporting and journals
- Maintaining accurate financial records and accounting data
- Supporting the production of management accounts
About You:
- Previous experience in a Bookkeeper or Accounts Assistant role
- Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping
- Experience using accounting software such as Xero, Sage or QuickBooks
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Confident communicator with a proactive approach
- AAT qualified or studying towards an accounting qualification would be advantageous
