Senior Residential Support Worker Children’s Residential Care 📍 Milton Keynes 💷 £15.75–£16.25 per hour ⏰ 40 hours per week 👤 Reports to: Registered Manager We are recruiting an experienced Senior Residential Support Worker to provide high-quality care while helping lead shifts and support the residential care team within a children’s home. As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will:

• Lead shifts and support the day-to-day running of the children’s home.
• Provide high-quality residential childcare.
• Safeguard and promote children’s welfare.
• Support emotional, behavioural and additional needs.
• Promote positive behaviour, including PBS approaches.
• Build positive relationships with children and young people.
• Support education, activities, life skills and independence.
• Supervise and mentor Residential Support Workers.
• Contribute to care plans, risk assessments and key working.
• Complete records, reports and handovers.
• Work with families, social workers, schools and other professionals.
• Support the Registered Manager when required.

About You

• Level 3 Residential Childcare / Children & Young People qualification or equivalent.
• 12+ months’ children’s residential care experience desirable.
• Experience supporting emotional/behavioural needs and challenging behaviour.
• Experience supervising or mentoring staff.
• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
• Good understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Flexible for evenings, weekends, sleep-ins and on-call duties where required.
