Teacher of Spanish - Maternity Leave Cover

The Governors are seeking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Teacher of Spanish. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a small team within the faculty group, teaching Spanish at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. The ability to also teach French (at least to Key Stage 3) would be an advantage. Pupils within the department are prepared for the GCSE Spanish examination and other qualifications as appropriate. The post-holder will develop and follow departmental schemes of work and be skilled in the planning and preparation of lessons, as well as the assessment of pupils’ work, in accordance with all school policies and procedures. The post-holder will report to the Assistant Head (Curriculum) and, ultimately, the Headmaster.

This is a part-time (0.6 FTE, working Monday - Wednesday) maternity cover position. It is likely to cover the period from January 2027 until the end of the academic year in the first instance, although this period may be extended.
