Overview

Combat Medical Technicians (CMTs) in the Royal Army Medical Service play a vital role in keeping soldiers healthy and providing life-saving care wherever The Army operates. You'll be trained to assess injuries, provide emergency treatment, and support patients both in the UK and on operations around the world.

Working alongside doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals, you'll learn a wide range of clinical skills, from first aid and trauma care to patient management and medical support. Whether you're treating casualties in the field or helping patients recover in a medical centre, you'll be making a real difference every day.

It's an ideal role if you enjoy helping people, working under pressure and developing practical healthcare skills, while gaining valuable qualifications recognised both in and outside The Army.

Apprenticeship

You'll gain a Level 3 Healthcare Support Worker apprenticeship as part of your training, giving you recognised healthcare skills and qualifications that can support your Army career and future opportunities.
