Responsibilities

• Engage in specialist care provision such as catheter care, speech therapy, diabetes management, communication needs and mobility needs. Empower residents to make decisions based upon informed choice, and recognise and respect the individual’s right.
• Facilitate individuals to raise concerns or make complaints. Support and assist individuals to attend to their personal care needs whilst respecting their dignity and promoting independence.
• Develop a general sense of responsibility for the wellbeing and running of the whole house and report any problems to the Team Leader.
• Have an active responsibility in assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of Person-centred Support and Care Plans in order to address identified needs.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• RQF level 2 in Health and Social Care. Two years’ experience in a social/health care setting.
• A good level of written and verbal. communication and reasoning skills, computer skills, ability to use initiative, to organise and prioritise.
