Community Care Assistant
£28.83k - £30.47k per annumFull-time
Job description
To provide personal care and assistance to service users in their own homes in accordance with Northern Ireland Social Care Council Standards of Conduct and Practice 2015.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with personal hygiene (washing, dressing)
- Assisting with medication
- Preparing meals
- Light housekeeping
- Emotional companionship to reduce isolation
- Monitoring the client’s physical and mental well-being and reporting changes
- Identifying hazards in the home environment and taking action to prevent accidents
- Maintaining accurate, confidential records of care provided and reporting any sudden changes to care managers
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Access to a car for business purposes
- Fluent in English for Health & Safety purposes
Desirable Skills
- Experience in a similar role and or a health and social care qualification is desired but not essential
