The role involves developing and enhancing institutional-grade trading and post-trade systems using cloud-native, event-driven architectures while delivering advanced client-facing features. Engineers will work within a complex production environment, combining deep technical expertise with strong capital markets knowledge.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and support full-stack solutions across frontend and backend components.
Build and enhance event-driven trading and post-trade applications.
Contribute to architecture and technical design decisions.
Develop responsive and real-time user interfaces for equities platforms.
Implement and maintain APIs, messaging integrations, and backend services.
Ensure high code quality through Test-Driven Development (TDD).
Participate in CI/CD practices, trunk-based development, and frequent production releases.
Troubleshoot production issues and maintain data integrity in complex market environments.
Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, product teams, and engineering peers.
Apply capital markets domain expertise to business and technical problem-solving.
Mentor team members and contribute to engineering best practices.

Must have
7+ years of Java development experience.
2+ years of commercial Kotlin development experience.
2+ years of frontend development experience with React and/or Angular.
Strong JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS skills.
Proven experience designing and developing event-driven distributed systems.
Hands-on experience with messaging patterns, event processing, resiliency, and failure handling.
Strong Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices and end-to-end ownership of software quality.
Experience working in Agile environments with CI/CD, trunk-based development, and frequent production releases.
Hands-on experience in capital markets, including trade lifecycle and position management.
Experience building real-time applications using WebSockets or streaming technologies.
Ability to contribute to architectural discussions and operate independently in complex production environments.
