As a Team Lead Registered Nurse, you will play a key leadership role in delivering outstanding specialist palliative and end of life care while supporting, inspiring and developing our multidisciplinary team. You will help shape and continuously improve services, ensuring patients and families receive safe, responsive and holistic care during some of the most important moments of their lives. Working alongside the Quality and Safety Lead and the Practice development Lead, you will support service development, champion quality improvement, nurture professional growth, and contribute to a culture where everyone feels valued, heard and empowered. This role is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which will be arranged and paid for by the hospice. Please note that this role is not eligible for visa sponsorship. The salary range shown is based on the Hospice's full-time equivalent (FTE) of 37.5 hours per week. - Provide visible clinical leadership, acting as a role model for excellence in specialist palliative care.
- Coordinate and support the nursing team to deliver safe, compassionate and effective care.
- Ensure care is holistic, responsive and tailored to the individual needs and preferences of patients and families.
- Promote independence, dignity, privacy and choice for every patient.
- Support the assessment, planning, delivery and evaluation of care using evidence-based practice.
- Maintain accurate, timely and high-quality clinical documentation.
- Manage and triage advice line calls, providing guidance and appropriate signposting.
- Support safe medicines management in accordance with professional standards and organisational policies.
- Support workforce planning to ensure safe staffing levels and an appropriate skill mix.
- Create a positive, supportive and inclusive team culture where colleagues feel valued and empowered.
- Support the recruitment, onboarding and retention of a skilled, engaged and high-performing workforce.
