1:1 Teaching Assistant

We're searching for a caring and committed 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Southmead. This is an opportunity to make a real difference by supporting one child to grow in confidence, develop independence and enjoy learning every step of the way.

What you'll be doing

• Providing dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil with additional learning needs
• Delivering personalised learning activities that help the child access the curriculum
• Building a positive, trusting relationship that encourages confidence and independence
• Working closely with teachers, SEND professionals and families to provide consistent support
• Creating a calm, inclusive and encouraging learning environment where every success is celebrated

We're looking for someone who

• Has experience working with children, particularly those with Special Educational Needs
• Is patient, empathetic and committed to helping every child succeed
• Communicates confidently and enjoys working as part of a supportive team
• Can adapt their approach to meet individual learning needs
• Has relevant qualifications in education or SEND, although these are desirable rather than essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
