Retail Manager

£29.37k per annum
Full-time

As our Retail Manager, you’ll play an important part in helping people enjoy their day. And you’ll be generating crucial funds for the National Trust to invest in protecting and caring for places, so people and nature can thrive. In return, we’ll give you the chance to be creative and give you the support and tools you need to build your career.

Hours: This role is based on annualised hours, where the amount of hours you work each month may vary, however your salary will be paid in 12 equal instalments over the year. You'll work 1950 hours per year, and on average, you'll work 37.5 hours per week but again, this will be flexible depending on operational demand.

Salary: £29,367 per annum

Duration: Permanent

Internally you'll be known as a Retail Manager (Band 1)

What it's like to work here:Reporting to the Area Manager, you'll be leading a small team of 5+ retail assistants and 10+ retail volunteers. You'll be part of the leadership team at Blickling Hall and will work closely with the General Manager and the wider team, actively involved in making decisions that affect the whole place.

And also to inspire them, so that everyone who buys something knows just what a difference their contribution, however small, will make to the work of the Trust in protecting nature, beauty and history. You'll set stretching targets for the team, and work together to achieve these through the highest standards of customer service and presentation of retail products.
