Executive Officer
Location : Manchester, Liverpool, Glasgow/ Hybrid

FULLY OFFICE BASED FOR TRAINING FIRST 2 WEEKS. HYBRID - 60% OFFICE BASED 40% WFH
Pay : £15.53 per hr
Assignment length : until Mar 2027.

Working Days/Hours : Monday to Friday, 37 hrs pr/week - 9-5pm for training, once signed off from training flexi as long as logged core hrs 10-3pm

Brook Street in partnership with the Home Office has a fantastic opportunity to join their team as an Executive Officer.

Essential skills:

• Recent knowledge and experience of casework from within the Asylum Safeguarding Hub.
• An understanding of the asylum systems/processes, or other comparable immigration route/systems.
• Experience of engagement with a range of internal and external partners.

List the duties of the role:

• Manage high-risk public protection casework as directed by the Public Protection Officers, ensuring actions align with policies and SOPs.
• Assess and prioritise allocated cases based on business needs and risk level.
• Attend team meetings and wider Public Protection & Safeguarding meetings when required.
• Arrange and participate in case conferences and strategy meetings, providing advice and record agreed actions.
• Keep the casework tracker/case management system up to date with all actions and decisions.
• Provide timely and accurate information to management, especially when swift responses are needed.
• Liaise with internal teams and external partners (e.g., Social Services, NHS, Police) to gather case information and ensure timely responses.
• Maintain communication with stakeholders to support joint-working outcomes, as well as identifying and escalating opportunities to improve processes.
• Line management of AO Admin Support Officers (where applicable) and lead the team to embed public protection principles across operational teams, providing public protection & safeguarding advice and guidance to staff.

Skills:
Knowledge of using IT systems
* Proven experience in an administrative or secretarial role
* Good knowledge of data management and record keeping
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines
* Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Training:
No annual leave during first 2 weeks training period - induction for approx. 2-3 days and training for approx. 4-5 days and then on job training.

Clearance level (to be applied for by Brook Street upon a successful application): CTC

Role specific requirements:
You must hold a valid passport and must have lived in the UK for longer than 3 years. Please note that period of 6 months or longer spent outside of the UK in the last 3 years will unfortunately not be accepted. This role requires security clearance that will be processed for you, if successful.
