About the role

The Integrated Planning Manager is a key leadership role, managing teams that optimise the use of IAG Cargo’s capacity and coordinate planning activities across Commercial, Operations and third party teams to maximise contribution and protect operational performance network wide. This role has a visible management presence driving alignment and direction across core parts of IAG Cargo to ensure optimal performance against cross functional KPIs. Line management and strategic direction of teams is key as well as using data to ensure contribution growth and robust customer experience.

What you’ll do

• Monitor forward booked position, capacity available and operational capability to guide the Tactical Capacity and Commercial Delivery teams, giving clear direction on strategy in the Integrated Planning window.

• Use handled tonnage forecasts at hubs to drive tactical and strategic planning across Integrated Planning, Operations and Commercial stakeholders. Also use this information to influence Sales activity.

• Align optimisation of all of IAG Cargo’s capacity, including that of IAG’s airline operating companies and external providers including trucking, freighter and interline capacity.

• Challenge Commercial, Operations and Sales activity that impacts optimal delivery within the Integrated Planning window.

• Analyse performance in the Integrated Planning window, owning the interrogation of data to identify and implement change (strategic and tactical) that drives clear improvement to core KPIs (eg. Operations handover, contribution, QNNR/capacity, load factor, NFD).

• Accountability for transformation plan project delivery and setting a culture within teams of continuous improvement.

• Review SLA and contract performance of capacity providers and offshore capability, using data to ensure cost avoidance and process change that benefits IAG Cargo.

• Take an active role in ownership of external capacity sourcing negotiations, using data from the Tactical Capacity team to ensure contracts drive maximum flexibility and an efficient cost base.

• Ownership of performance of key regions and key suppliers that are integral to the delivery of the IAG Cargo Commercial and Operations plans and ensure close alignment with the Network Management team during strategic procurement of capacity.

Essential

• Leadership comfort in managing multiple managers across shifts; strong cross functional communicator.

• Analytical thinker with a structured approach to data and planning.

• Commercially astute, with a clear sense of operational imperatives.

• Confident under pressure; adaptable in a shift-based environment.

Desirable

• Experience in network or lane management, inventory, or operational planning.

• Proven oversight of contribution and performance metrics.

• Familiarity with airline and trucking capacity sourcing.

• Experience managing high-performing shift-based teams constraints or disruption.

• Familiarity with Optima and other airline cargo systems.
