Attendance Officer - Hereford - January 2026

A caring and community-driven secondary school on the outskirts of Hereford is seeking a dedicated Attendance Officer to join its pastoral team from January 2026 .

About the Role

You will play a vital role in maintaining high levels of student attendance, liaising closely with pastoral leads, families and external agencies.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Monitoring daily attendance and punctuality using the school MIS

• Making first-day absence calls and logging outcomes

• Producing weekly and termly attendance reports for leaders

• Organising attendance meetings and supporting attendance action plans

• Working with vulnerable students alongside the safeguarding team

• Supporting reward initiatives that promote excellent attendance
