Long Term Futures are seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEN school in the Harrow area.
The school supports pupils with a range of complex needs, including Autism (ASD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), communication needs, and associated developmental challenges. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive team committed to providing a nurturing and inclusive environment where pupils can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Your Key Responsibilities:
*Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEN and complex needs
* Support pupils with communication, sensory, and emotional regulation needs
* Implement personalised support strategies linked to EHCP targets
* Assist teachers in adapting lessons and learning resources
* Promote positive behaviour and engagement in learning
* Help create a safe, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
* Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families Requirements:
* Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEN
* Understanding of Autism, communication difficulties, and complex needs
* Strong communication and behaviour management skills
* Patient, resilient, and nurturing approach
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
