£23.9 - £25.2 per hourEstimated
Full-time, Part-time

Position: Teacher of Performing Arts
Contract: Full-Time or Part-Time, Permanent
Required by: January 2027
Salary: Competitive

This is an exciting opportunity for an inspirational and creative Teacher of Performing Arts to join the warm and vibrant community at Crown House School, High Wycombe, part of the Chatsworth Schools group.

Crown House is a thriving, non-selective preparatory school for children from Pre-school to Year 6, combining a strong academic foundation with an imaginatively broad and creative curriculum. Our approach is rooted in our core values - Prepare, Persevere, Perform - encouraging every child to grow in confidence, curiosity and character.

Performing Arts plays an important and highly valued role in life at Crown House. We are looking for somebody with genuine passion, creativity, energy and enthusiasm who can continue to develop our excellent provision in Music and Drama and inspire children of all ages to participate, perform and discover their individual talents.

We are deliberately keeping the recruitment process open in order to find the right person. The successful candidate may be a qualified teacher with QTS, an experienced unqualified teacher, or an accomplished performing arts practitioner with the skills, experience and personal qualities needed to work successfully with children from Pre-School to Year 6. The role could also be structured on either a full-time or part-time basis for the right candidate.

Our staff are passionate about creating inspiring experiences for children. Through creativity, collaboration and challenge, they bring learning to life and help every child discover their strengths. We are proud of our inclusive and diverse community where children from a wide range of backgrounds feel valued, supported and encouraged to flourish.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have high expectations for every pupil

  • Deliver engaging and ambitious Music and Drama provision across the school

  • Bring creativity, energy and enthusiasm to their teaching

  • Encourage participation, confidence, enjoyment and high-quality performance

  • Help every child develop their individual talents while ensuring Performing Arts remains accessible and exciting for all

  • Play an active role in performances, productions, assemblies and the wider creative life of the school

  • Contribute positively to our collaborative and supportive staff team

  • Share our commitment to helping children Prepare, Persevere and Perform

At Crown House School, we believe education should develop the whole child. Our aim is to nurture pupils emotionally, spiritually, physically and academically within a caring and ambitious environment. Performing Arts is central to this philosophy, providing children with opportunities to express themselves, collaborate with others, develop confidence and experience the joy of performance.

Our most recent inspection recognised that the school’s innovative and inclusive curriculum provides pupils with a well-rounded education and equips them with the confidence, skills and character needed to thrive in the future.

If you share this commitment and would like to make Performing Arts a visible, joyful and important part of children’s everyday school experience, then we would be delighted to hear from you.

For more information, please contact Miss Ellie Lord (Head's PA and Head of Admissions) on View phone number on tes.com or email View email address on tes.com .

Interviews will take place as soon as suitable applications are submitted. Applications will be considered on receipt and we reserve the right to make an appointment before the closing date.
