Quality Manager

We are seeking a Quality Manager on a full-time permanent basis for our Herefordshire based client. This exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quality professional to join a growing and forward-thinking business offering the opportunity to take ownership of the company’s quality function and play a key part in shaping and developing its Quality Management System.

What you will be doing

• Own and develop the company's quality management system, driving continuous improvement across all processes
• Lead the business toward and through relevant quality accreditations, including managing audits and corrective action plans
• Establish, review and maintain quality standards, procedures and documentation across all functions
• Work closely with engineering at the design and development stage to embed quality requirements early in the product lifecycle
• Analyse quality data and inspection findings to identify trends, drive root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions
• Report on quality performance to senior management, providing meaningful data and recommendations
• Lead and develop the quality team, setting clear expectations and supporting capability growth
• Support goods-in inspection processes in conjunction with Stores, ensuring incoming components and materials meet specification
• Act as the primary point of contact for quality matters with customers and external bodies where required
• Ensure the business remains compliant with all relevant regulatory and customer quality requirements

What We Are Looking For

• Proven experience working in a Quality Manager, Quality Assurance Manager or senior Quality role within an engineering, manufacturing or highly regulated environment
• Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing or a related discipline is desirable
• Lean, Six Sigma or equivalent continuous improvement qualification would be advantageous
• Strong practical knowledge and experience Quality Management Systems
• Proven experience managing internal and external audits, including preparation, findings, corrective actions and continual improvement
• Strong understanding of Root Cause Analysis, CAPA and non-conformance management
• Experience developing, implementing and maintaining quality procedures, processes and controlled documentation
• Experience analysing quality data and inspection findings to identify trends and drive measurable improvements
• Previous experience working closely with Engineering and Design teams during product development and introduction
• Previous experience within the engineering, or highly regulated manufacturing environment
• Eligible to obtain the required UK Security Clearance
