We are looking for an exceptional CAMHS Team Manager to lead our dynamic Community CAMHS team. This is an exciting opportunity to shape and develop innovative mental health services while leading a highly skilled multidisciplinary team of nurses, therapists and support staff.

As Team Manager, you will play a pivotal role in delivering safe, effective and compassionate care, ensuring children and young people receive high-quality, evidence-based support when they need it most. Working collaboratively with colleagues across health, education, social care and the voluntary sector, you will help drive service improvement, champion the voice of young people and families, and contribute to the future direction of CAMHS across Cornwall.

Main duties of the job
As our CAMHS Team Manager, you will:

• Provide inspirational leadership, management and supervision to a multidisciplinary team, creating a positive culture where staff can thrive, develop and deliver outstanding care.
• Lead the operational delivery of community CAMHS services, ensuring performance targets, waiting time standards and quality indicators are achieved.
• Drive service innovation and transformation, supporting the implementation of new models of care and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Work in partnership with children, young people, families and partner agencies to ensure services are responsive, collaborative and centred on the needs of those we support.
• Champion safeguarding, clinical governance and quality assurance, ensuring the highest standards of care and professional practice.
• Manage workforce planning, recruitment, staff development, performance and wellbeing, helping to build resilient and successful teams.
• Contribute to strategic service development and county-wide mental health initiatives, helping to shape the future of CAMHS across Cornwall.

We're an NHS community and mental health provider Trust based in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. We deliver community and hospital-based care to improve people's physical and mental health. We also provide specialist support to people with dementia or a learning disability.

Person Specification
Education, Qualifications and Experience
Essential

• Evidence of continuing professional development
• Leadership/Management qualification or experience to diploma level
• Relevant professional qualification e.g. Dip OT, Dip SW, RMN, Clinical Psychology Grade A, or equivalent
• Experience of managing a multi-disciplinary team

Desirable

• Masters level qualification or equivalent experience

Skills and Aptitude
Essential

• Good analytical and judgement skills
• Excellent leadership and development skills
• Sound financial management skills

Knowledge and abilities
Essential

• Substantial experience in Safeguarding Children
• Experience of setting up new processes/projects
• Experience of leading on policy and service development
