CORE PURPOSE

We require an academically rigorous Geography Teacher to deliver high-level physical, human, and political geography instruction across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Key Stage 5 (A-Level). Operating within a historic, highly selective academic environment, the successful candidate will stretch and challenge exceptionally gifted students, fostering advanced university-level research skills, complex critical essay writing, and a sophisticated grasp of global geopolitical frameworks.

KEY TASKS & DAILY OPERATIONS

• Academic Stretch & High-Ability Instruction: Plan and deliver fast-paced, conceptually dense lessons designed to challenge students within the top 10% of the national cognitive ability range.

• A-Level & Higher Education Preparation: Lead rigorous Key Stage 5 seminars, guiding students through complex geographical theories, advanced data analysis, and independent investigative research projects (NEAs) to secure top-tier Russell Group and Oxbridge placements.

• Advanced Fieldwork & Synoptic Inquiry: Design and execute sophisticated physical and human fieldwork expeditions, mentoring students in high-level data collection, statistical modeling, and academic write-ups.

• Extracurricular Academic Enrichment: Contribute actively to the school’s broader intellectual life, leading societies, debate forums, or field-specific lectures that extend learning far beyond the standard GCSE and A-Level specifications.
