Tax Assistant

Main duties and responsibilities:

• Preparing and submitting UK corporation tax returns and supporting tax computations.
• Assisting with corporate tax compliance, reporting, and regulatory obligations.
• Supporting international tax reporting activities and related administrative processes.
• Liaising with finance, treasury, accounting, and reporting teams across the business.
• Maintaining accurate tax records, documentation, and compliance reporting schedules.
• Providing support in responding to internal and external tax-related enquiries.
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes and enhance compliance procedures.

Applicants to this role require:

• Degree-qualified in Accounting & Finance or supported by relevant experience within finance, accounting, or tax. Working towards ATT qualification beneficial but not essential.
• A solid understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, with strong Excel capabilities.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve problems effectively.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Well-developed organisational and communication skills.
• Able to manage competing priorities and work to tight deadlines.
• Motivated to develop a long-term career within corporate tax and compliance.
