Job description

A well established and highly regarded accountancy practice is seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join their growing team. You will be responsible for managing payroll services for a diverse portfolio of clients, ranging from small businesses to larger organisations across various sectors.

Responsibilities

  • Managing payroll services for a diverse portfolio of clients, ranging from small businesses to larger organisations across various sectors.
  • Weekly payrolls and monthly payrolls. Payroll administration and compliance duties.
  • Client payroll queries and support using Brightpay.
  • They currently use Brightpay, however, candidates with experience using Sage Payroll or other payroll software packages are also encouraged to apply, as full system training can be provided.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Previous payroll experience is essential. Experience processing payrolls from start to finish both weekly and monthly.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple client payrolls and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and client service skills.
  • Payroll software experience.

Desirable Skills

  • Qualified or part-qualified Accounting Technician.

Further Information

Work Time: They offer flexibility in working hours and are happy to consider both part-time and full-time candidates. Part time hours can be over 4 to 5 days approximately 20-25 hours per week or can be full time 37 hours office based. The role can be tailored around the successful applicant's availability.
