In this vital role, you will inspire athletes of all skill levels, develop their skills and grow their confidence! Your energy and expertise will help players reach their full potential while promoting sportsmanship, discipline, and confidence. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact on athletes’ lives through engaging coaching sessions and positive mentorship.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement comprehensive training programs tailored to different skill levels and age groups
- Lead 1-1 practices and drills to enhance player performance
- Motivate athletes to achieve personal and team goals while emphasizing fair play and respect
- Assess player skills and provide constructive feedback to support continuous improvement
- Organize sessions, coordinate schedules, and communicate effectively with players and parents
- Ensure safety protocols are followed during all activities and maintain a positive, inclusive environment
- Track player progress and maintain attendance records
Experience
Essential
- Sports coaching/playing experience, preferably in football or similar team sports.
- Level 1 coaching qualification.
- Will need to complete an enhanced Access NI.
- Must be able to drive to carry equipment and travel to/from sessions.
- Excellent communication skills to motivate players and collaborate with colleagues.
- Ability to plan engaging training sessions that balance skill development with fun.
- Knowledge of football rules, tactics, and safety standards is highly desirable.
