Where will you be working?

We help our clients safeguard the water supply, improve environmental performance and manage demand for future generations. This role will be within our MEICA and capital maintenance team. Our Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control & Automation (MEICA) experts offer a one-stop solution, including ongoing operation and maintenance services. We’re proud to be a key partner on the Caledonia Water Alliance and will successfully and safely work with Scottish Water to jointly deliver SR21, a six-year water and wastewater infrastructure pan Scotland capital investment programme.

What will you be doing? 

M Group Water is recruiting for a General Foreman to work on our Caledonia Water Alliance contract based in Stepps , Glasgow. 

As the General Foreman, along with the support of your team, you'll ensure quality, Health & Safety and compliance standards are met, in line with Scottish Water’s established specifications and procedures. 

The Caledonia Water Alliance will successfully and safely work with  Scottish Water  to jointly deliver SR21, a six-year water and wastewater infrastructure pan Scotland capital investment programme.  

You'll handle the delivery o f the Project to the agreed time, cost and quality requirements along with having input  to the look-a-head program, ensuring activities are effectively managed & completed.

We'll need you to a ssist with change management during project lifecycle and implement  mitigation plans for identified risks.

You'll handle the supervision of the direct labour force and site-based subcontracts as well as conducting and recording  site specific inductions, toolbox talks and daily briefings.

You'll also a ssist with management of customers impacted by the works.

What you’ll bring

• Do you have proven experience in water industry civil engineering works – large diameter pipelaying, streetworks , deep excavations, temporary works, shafts & RC structures?
• Have you got e xperience of managing the development of the allocated members of the team?
• Do you have a  Construction Management qualification? This is preferred. 
• Do you hold  SMSTS,  NRSWA Supervisor,  DOMS Network Qualifications – EUSR,  CSCS gold card
• Are you Confined space medium risk and First Aid trained?
  
• Do you have v isible Health & Safety leadership?
• Do you hold a valid  driving licence and  willingness to travel throughout Scotland?
