Project Manager - Flooring (Commercial Projects)
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Project Manager to join a well-established and growing specialist contractor within the flooring sector.
This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of multiple projects across commercial environments, working with a range of high-profile clients and delivering quality flooring solutions from pre-start through to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple flooring projects (carpet, vinyl, LVT, screed, resin, timber, etc.) from inception to handover
- Oversee site teams, subcontractors, and installers to ensure works are delivered safely and efficiently
- Liaise directly with clients, main contractors, and stakeholders
- Plan and coordinate programmes, labour, and material deliveries
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
- Carry out regular site visits and progress meetings
- Manage project documentation including RAMS, programmes, and reports
- Monitor costs, variations, and commercial performance alongside the commercial team
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Project Manager within the flooring sector or wider fit-out/interiors environment
- Strong knowledge of flooring types, installation processes, and sequencing
- Experience managing multiple fast-paced projects simultaneously
- SMSTS (or SSSTS as a minimum)
- CSCS Card
- Strong client-facing and communication skills
- Good commercial awareness and ability to manage variations
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable
- Experience working on commercial fit-out, retail, healthcare or education projects
- Knowledge of subfloor preparation and screeding
- First Aid qualification
