Head of Secondary School (Vice Principal) - January 2027 Start

Arcadia Global School, Dubai is seeking to appoint a HEAD OF SECONDARY SCHOOL to start in January 2027 . The successful candidate will support the Founding Principal in driving academic excellence, maintaining high standards of teaching and learning, and fostering a positive and inclusive school culture.

This opportunity will be of interest to candidates from a variety of backgrounds, so long as they can demonstrate their own educational credentials, excellence and their commitment to a high-quality school in the Dubai context. It could suit someone who has worked in a similar school internationally, just as it is likely to interest candidates who are currently leaders in the UK and who believe they have the flexibility and drive needed to succeed in Dubai. Candidates with experience in the UAE will have the advantage of already understanding the cultural context but their experience should be in a school judged among the best in the country. Whatever their backgrounds, candidates should be enthusiastic about a community-focused school, have strong ideas about how to embed a quality curriculum identity, and be able to balance a deep commitment to character development, wellbeing, and academic excellence.

The successful candidate will need to have demonstrated some impactful leadership experience at either strong middle or senior leadership levels and have experience, or an intimate understanding of the Key Stage 4 and 5 curriculum, organisation and offerings. Successful teaching deployment for at least 5 years in either in GCSE and A levels will be a definite advantage and a leadership experience of at least 5 years will also be desirable. A working knowledge of outstanding practices in education will be a must for this role and the ability to demonstrate impactful leadership important.

Shortlisted candidates will be asked to complete a task relevant to the role and attend a full interview with Senior Leaders. This will be in-person. International candidates will be invited to Dubai and accommodated as a guest of the school for 2 days if they reach the short-list stage.
